Question by likeahorsey: Are bicyclists really allowed to ride in traffic lanes with cars?
I?ve always wondered what the right law is. I live in Los Angeles, where life is ruled by the automobile. There are still, but, bicyclists who insist on riding with car traffic, especially if there is no bicycle lane. This causes cars to have to slow down or pass the bicyclist, which is at times impossible, leading to many cars driving slowly at the whim of a bicyclist. Wouldn?t it be safer for bicyclists to ride on the sidewalk when there?s no bicycle lane?
